Girls & Women’s Footy – Skills sessions Dec 10 & Dec 17
Due to the club function this Sunday our skills training will commence at 9.00am for an hour. With a final session before Christmas on Sunday 17thth December from 10am to 11am before we break for Christmas.
Last Sunday it was great to have club person, Renee Garing form the Geelong women’s side take the session then chat to the girls after training. Renee also provided a training program for any of the U18 and senior girls to use as some alternate sessions over summer. Attached is a copy of the training guide.
The club will also be looking to start up a face book page to channel information through.
This Sunday we will also have club merchandise available for purchase and/or order including training tops, singlets and shorts. If any players are certain of transferring over to St Mary’s from another club for the 2018 season, we will have clearance forms on hand to fill in so we can get that process done before the start of the year gets crazy.
Registrations to play in the AFL/Barwon GFL women’s footy league will be open soon as will the 2018 women’s footy match draw, we will forward that information to you as soon as it comes to hand.
Our club membership day is Sunday 18th February 2018, membership forms will be available to fill in online through the club website soon and you can pop into the club on that day to pay your membership and purchase any other club merchandise you may need (like socks, hoodies, compression tights etc.)
We look forward to seeing as many of you at the club over the next two Sundays for a bit of kicking, handballing and tackling!
All girls who played in the U19 Div 1 grand final last year I have DVDs the club has brought for you all. We will again have them on Sunday or if you cant call in Sunday then please give me a call on 0457 507 202 and we can organsie for you to pick up.
Also for any of the girls over 18 or any parents we have our annual Club Christmas function this Sunday December 10 the ham, crownies and bubbles day. Tickets $30 and gives you free entry, beer, wine, Champagne and soft drink and food and a chance to win $1000 and also be involved in the many raffles for the day. Always a great day and for any new girls at the club or parents a good chance to meet others within the club. If anyone interested in a ticket you can email me.
