2022 Netball Registration & Club Membership

There are 3 steps required to register for 2022 Netball Winter Comp

  1. Netball Connect (incorporating VNA payment & AFL Barwon Development Fee) There are 3 different links for you to use. One for Tuesday night, one for Friday night and one for Saturday comp. See below.
  2. Register to Play HQ for team selection. Cost is $3.37 per player
  3. Pay your Club Membership via website

It is compulsory for all players, coaches and umpires to have a valid 2022 Netball Connect membership – VNA to take the court. 

PLEASE NOTE: AFL Barwon have included a Development fee to all players, senior and junior.  This fee is included in your Netball Connect VNA payment is a AFL Barwon Development Fee. $10 Senior and $5 Junior.  This must be paid by EVERY player.  If you have already paid your VNA to another association you must still go through this process and pay the Development fee.  You will not be charged a second VNA fee. By paying your VNA and paying the additional AFL Barwon Development fee you are ensuring you can be placed in a team for 2022.

  •  Junior $65 (Junior born between 01/01/2005– 31/12/2012)


As there is a new system “Netball Connect” everyone will need to make a new user account (unless you already have one from summer comp). There is no transfer of records from My Netball.

Instructions for connecting to Netball Connect


In order to be placed in a team, each player has to register via Play HQ. There is an administration cost of $3.37 per player.

You need to make a new Play HQ account (unless you already have one as you or your children play football cricket, basketball etc and if so, you should use this account register your netballer.

Netball Clearances

If you have previously played netball for another club, your first step is to complete a clearance form.  All players coming to St Mary’s Sporting Club that played in another GFL club or BFL as their last club MUST complete the AFL Barwon Clearance form. Email your clearance to email to info@stmaryssc.com and it will be submitted.  You will be advised of the outcome via email.
