Summer Netball Competition

Below is information about  SUMMER SEASON FOR JUNIOR NETBALL.

Season

The season will be 12 weeks (inclusive of four weeks of grading), followed by a 2-week finals series.

  • Tuesday nights will be 17&U and 11&U.
  • Friday Night will be 13&U and 15&U competitions.

Dates:

  • First Tuesday: October 4th
  • First Friday: October 7th
  • Non-playing dates: October 18th (Cricket WC), October 28th(TBC AFLLW Game) and November 1st (Melb Cup)
  • Last game before Christmas: Friday 16th December
  • Return: Tuesday February 7th
  • Last Final: Tuesday March 7th

Registration

 The competition will be managed through PlayHQ, however similar to the beginning of the year, Netball Victoria Memberships will need to be purchased through Netball Connect. The form to complete this will be made available in the coming weeks but is not available yet.

On PlayHQ, as Summer 2022/23 is a different competition to Winter, all players would need to register again.

Club fees for summer season will be $50 per player.

Club Involvement

Please be aware that the summer season is not run by the St Mary’s Junior Netball Section.  Each team needs to have a coach and a team manager to organise the players and the season.  I am happy to assist with putting together the teams and assisting with all registrations and queries during the season.  SMSC will also provide a game ball and bibs for each team to use.

Interest

For summer season, there is the option to enter a team or express an interest as an individual player and I will try to place into a team.  Ideally teams should be at least 8 players and no more than 10 which allows for illness, holidays and injuries.

If there is someone organising a team, please email me with the players names and email addresses. 

If you are expressing an interest as an individual player please email me the player’s name and you may also send me two names of other players they may wish to play with.

I will do my best to accommodate players with their friends but this is not always possible. 

No teams will be entered without a coach and team manager in place.
