As in previous years, St Mary’s Sporting Club are offering an optional development program over summer for players at the U17 and U15 levels, for anyone interested in coming along. Just to be very clear this is not a “pre-season” program, but a development program which will cover things such as skills sessions, running technique, diet etc.
We will also look at incorporating sessions on teaching proper stretching techniques, establish some pre-training routines and the importance of rehabilitation.
The program will commence with 2 skills-based sessions over the next 2 Sunday mornings (December 10th and 17th), commencing at 9:30am at the club and finishing around 10:30am. These first 2 sessions will focus on warm-up, some running technique and the basics of good kicking techniques, and will be conducted by Marty Christensen.
