Under 13 Burnside Camp

As part of the club’s continuing Development Program, last month 63 under 13 boys headed to Burnside Camp in Anglesea for their annual training camp.

Morning activities included an initiatives course which allowed teams to challenge boundaries within themselves and see new possibilities and different approaches to get a common outcome to complete each of the 5 different tasks.

The afternoon session involved a low ropes course, archery, a flying fox and a 10 metre high rock wall. Along with guest speakers Jack Henry from Geelong Football Club, and Senior Constable Andy Brittain from Victoria Police, the boys had a jam packed day!

The boys ended the afternoon with free time to use the camps great facilities including beach volleyball, trampolines, basketball, chess and a movie on the big screen.

A Sunday morning training session held across the road at Anglesea Football club tested the tired heads.

Thanks to all the parents that volunteered throughout the camp, and to Burnside camp for putting on a superbly catered event!
