St Mary’s Darwin Cultural Trip 2026 – Donation Drive
Help us give pre-loved sporting gear and children’s items a new home!
This December, a group of St Mary’s Sporting Club’s 16 and 17-year-old footballers, along with parents and supporters, will travel to Darwin for our 2026 Cultural Trip, departing on 4 December and returning on 14 December.
The trip is about much more than football. It’s an opportunity for our young players to experience different cultures, build friendships, connect with Indigenous communities and develop a greater understanding of life beyond their own community.
As part of this year’s trip, we’ll once again be dedicating some of our luggage allowance to transporting donated items for children and families in the communities we visit.
And we’d love the support of our Saints community!
What we’re collecting
If you’ve got football boots, jumpers or sporting equipment that your kids have outgrown, we’d love to give them a new home.
We’re collecting:
- Football boots – second-hand boots in good condition
- Football jumpers – pre-loved club or AFL jumpers
- Footballs and sporting equipment
- Children’s footwear – sneakers and other suitable shoes
- Colouring books and activity books
- Pencils, crayons and stationery
- Other suitable items for children and young people
All donated items should be clean and in good, usable condition.
Donation drop-off dates
We’ll be collecting donations at St Mary’s Sporting Club on the following dates:
- Saturday 7 November 2026 10:00am – 1:00pm
- Friday 20 November 2026 8:00am – 5:00pm

Football, friendship, culture and community
Our Cultural Trip is a special part of the St Mary’s experience, giving our young footballers the opportunity to learn, grow and build connections through football.
Supporting the communities we visit is an important part of that experience, and these donations are one small way we can give back.
Every contribution, big or small, is genuinely appreciated.
