Junior Football & Netball Season Cancelled – August 4 2020
To all St Marys Players, Families and Supporters
Unfortunately with the recent Government announcements of Stage 3 restrictions coming into effect for 6 weeks from 11.59 Wednesday August 5th, AFL Barwon have had no choice but to cancel all Junior Football and Netball competitions for the remainder of the 2020 Season.
The St Marys Sporting Club would like to thank all players and their families for the efforts over the past weeks in adhering to COVID protocols that allowed us to have a number of weeks of training and the competition to get off the ground.
Furthermore, to all the club volunteers, age group coordinators, coaches, team managers, trainers and others that help tirelessly around the club, your efforts and commitment are truly appreciated and without you we would not have had the opportunity to get this far into the season.
We are immensely fortunate and proud to have been able to play 3 rounds of junior sport this season. To have seen the happiness and joy it bought to all parents, clubs, volunteers and the community has made the hard work worthwhile.
