President’s Award 2025. Extremely grateful!

On Friday night, I was shocked and surprised to be named the recipient of the 2025 President’s Award at the Club Presentation Night. In fact, there are several more deserving people that spring to mind, who give so much to the Club that I am in awe of them. 

I’m genuinely humbled to have received the President’s Award at this year’s Presentation Night. It’s such an honour, but honestly, this award belongs to everyone who makes St Mary’s the incredible club that it is. 

A huge thank you to Sally Flynn, our President, for her leadership, care and tireless dedication to our club. Sally leads with heart, transparency, and authenticity, and it shows in everything we do, across every team and every season.

To our wonderful Board, thank you for your endless hours, energy, and commitment behind the scenes; each of you is extraordinary in terms of skills, dedication, club passion, and volunteer hours. You’re the reason our club runs as smoothly as it does and continues to grow year after year:

And to every single volunteer — thank you. From the coaches, team managers, coordinators, timekeepers, scorers, trainers, club clothing and merchandise sellers, canteen and bar crews, to event organisers and helpers, everyone makes a difference. You give your time and heart so others can play, connect and belong. That’s what makes this club truly special.

This award is a reflection of all of you, our Saints family. I’m so proud to be part of this amazing club surrounded by some of the best people you could hope to meet.
