Help Lead the Next Chapter of Female Football at St Mary’s

Female football continues to go from strength to strength at St Mary’s, and as we look ahead to 2027, we’re seeking two people to help lead the next chapter of our program.

From girls beginning their football journey and progressing through our junior teams, to our senior women proudly pulling on the Saints jumper, we’re committed to providing a strong and connected pathway for female players at St Mary’s.

Our program is about more than football. It’s about creating opportunities for girls and women to play, develop, compete, build friendships and belong to our Club community.

Thank you, Alf

As we look to the future, we also want to recognise Alf Della Monica for his outstanding contribution to St Mary’s and female football.

Alf has given an enormous amount of time, energy and commitment to our Club, our female football program and, more broadly, the development of female football across our league. His passion and advocacy have helped create opportunities for female players and supported the growth of the game both at St Mary’s and beyond.

We also sincerely thank Alf for his contribution as a member of the St Mary’s Board, where his knowledge, commitment and genuine care for our Club and its people have been greatly valued.

Thank you, Alf, for everything you have contributed to the Saints and to female football.

Expressions of Interest – 2027

As we build on these strong foundations, St Mary’s is now seeking Expressions of Interest for two key roles within our senior female football program.

Senior Female Football Coach 2027

We’re looking for a passionate coach to lead our senior female team and create an environment where players can develop, compete and enjoy their football.

The role will:

  • Lead training, match-day preparation and coaching.
  • Develop players and build a strong, inclusive team culture.
  • Work closely with assistant coaches and team officials.
  • Support player recruitment and retention.
  • Strengthen the pathway from junior to senior football.

You can provide details of your experience as part of your application.

Experienced and emerging coaches are encouraged to apply.

Senior Female Football Coordinator

Our Senior Female Football Coordinator will provide leadership and coordination across all senior female football teams.

This role will oversee and support all senior female football teams, helping create a connected and positive program for players, coaches and volunteers.

The role will:

  • Coordinate and support all senior female teams.
  • Work closely with coaches, team managers and Club leadership.
  • Support player recruitment, retention and communication.
  • Build a strong and inclusive female football culture.
  • Support the Junior Female Football Coordinator and strengthen the pathway from junior to senior football.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and passionate about female football and community sport.

Senior Female Football Role Expression of Interest 2027

Please note: if you answer no, you must be prepared to get a check prior to taking up the role.

One Club. One Pathway.

We’re proud of how far female football has come at St Mary’s, and even more excited about where it can go next.

We want girls joining the Saints to see a pathway ahead of them — from their first kick, through junior football and into our senior teams — and to know that St Mary’s can be their football home for years to come.

Stronger together.

Inclusion. Respect. Community.
Where everyone belongs.
